My Talks and Work

Throughout the year I deliver impactful talks to a wide range of audiences; scroll down to read more or contact me to see how I can help you.

Talks for School Parents

Every year, schools, charities and universities hire me to deliver high impact, motivational talks to their parenting communities. These cover a range of themes. They are all designed to be extremely informative and impactful.

Talks for Teachers (CPD Training)

As an expert in parental engagement and co-author of ‘100 Ideas for Engaging Parents’, I have lots of ideas for teachers when it comes to working effectively with parents and families. That is why I offer twilight CPD sessions for teachers (normally 4-6pm) at the end of a school day.

Typically, training workshops cover:

  • The power of parental engagement to transform children’s outcomes;
  • The difference between involving parents and engaging them;.
  • Strategies for engaging the ‘disengaged parent’;
  • Easy strategies for improving home-school communication.

All my CPD sessions are informed by a short staff survey, to ensure that what I am offering is truly bespoke. The cost of a CPD session lasting 2 hours is £600. Often these talks precede a talk to parents in the evening at any given school.

I will always do my best for your family. Occasionally, this may mean sign-posting you to an appropriate colleague; typically a clinical or educational psychologist, family therapist or expert in a particular field.
